Water Bottles & Flasks: Vinyl Only, Applied Smart
Steel bottles live a hard life — dishwashing, condensation, being jammed into bags. Use water-resistant vinyl and apply it to the driest, smoothest part of the body, never near the cap threads where moisture wicks.
Application tip that doubles lifespan: clean the spot with a little hand sanitiser, let it dry fully, then apply pressing from the centre outward to push out air pockets. Hand-wash around stickers rather than scrubbing them, and they will outlive the bottle's paint.

Kindles & E-Readers: The Underrated Canvas
A Kindle back covered in stickers is a quiet flex — visible on trains, invisible on video calls. The plastic back takes both vinyl and quality matte stickers well, and the device lives in a sleeve more often than a laptop does, so wear is slower.
Keep stickers away from the page-turn button edge and any port cutouts if your case moulds around them. If you use a clear case over a stickered Kindle, kiss-cut vinyl stays flattest under the plastic.
Phone Cases: Flat Backs Only
Directly on a glass-backed phone, stickers fight wireless charging and peel at camera-corner radius. On a flat plastic or clear case, though, they work beautifully — and a case swap becomes a whole restyle.
Use vinyl for cases: fingers, pockets, and table-slides are constant abrasion. One large statement sticker centred, or a tight corner cluster of minis. Avoid covering the MagSafe/ring-holder area and the case's raised camera lip.
Scrapbooks & Journals: Matte Paper Wins
Inside albums and journals, matte paper stickers actually beat vinyl — they sit flush, take pen over them, photograph without glare, and cost less per sheet so you can use them generously.

Car exteriors: sun-baked vinyl fades unevenly and Indian summer UV is brutal; if you must, keep it small and accept yearly replacement.
